For Webelos, Porter planted this bulb that finally grew---it was supposed to blossom for Christmas but since we don't get much sunshine it took a while to bloom. It was a beautiful flower.
Austin had a big week this week. He earned his Life rank in Boy Scouts, second only to Eagle. He is the second highest ranking boy in his troop--=of course there are only 6 boys in his troop and 1 just moved in. None the less, we are very proud of him. He will be working on his eagle project this summer and finishing up his merit badges---he has 15 and needs 6 more. He is preparing to go on a Klondike campout---they build a snow cave and sleep in it. We are hoping for warmer weather before mid Feb---we have been in the below zero range lately.
He was also ordained to the office of a Teacher in church today. We are very proud of him.

Conner earned his Bobcat---the first rank in Cub Scouts. Our pack does a face painting ceremony with a paw print on the forhead and blue and yellow stripes on the cheeks---it isn't just a unwashed face. Way to go Conner.

Porter got some new glasses---pretty snazzy, they are a metallic blue.

Conner and Porter had to make a cake for cub scouts Blue and Gold. Conner made a giant smore. The stuff oozing out is chocolate and marshmellow. Porter made a checkers game with blue and gold kissables. Thanks to grandma for the fantastic cake book that gave us the idea.

Mason recieved his first 2 merit badges---rifle shooting and communication. We are finally getting started on the path.

Conner has joined the ranks in the family with glasses.

He has to use them when he reads, works on the computer, plays video games, etc. It has made reading a bit easier as the words are clearer.
