Mason's art project from school. I thought it was so great, I wanted to share.
Our lovely Christmas tree. We almost didn't get a tree this year---waited too long. Apparenthly Oregon is not like California---Antioch always had trees to spare. Not up here. On Dec. 14th, we got one of the 5 remaining trees in town. The boys were hoping for a big tree since we finally had space and a high ceiling. Not so lucky. This was the tallest of the 5 trees left. We will definetly go out earlier next year.

Conner and Porter got new sleds from Santa so of course we had to go try them out. The local golf course has some great hills for sledding. Boy do you pick up some great speed---just watch out for the ditch at the bottom---we discovered that it was not completely frozen over. (Shauna and Conner trying out the sled)

Sorry about the exposure---camera doesn't do to well indoors. Austin's school choir sang at The Festival of Trees which is a fundraiser for the Hospital. Companies around town decorate a tree and it goes up for auction. The hospital got $4000 (didn't think anyone around here had that kind of money:)) for their tree (also included are a variety of gifts that are under the tree). Each tree has a theme they decorate the trees with. It was neat to see all the cool trees. Austin was part of the entertainment. He is in the middle row, middle with the santa hat right behind the girl with the white button up shirt on.
Some of the scenery from the train ride. It was beautiful.

The boys wanted to ride on the outside car---the 2 inside cars had wood burning stoves---but no we had to go on the outside one. It actually wasn't too cold once we got a blanket to put under us. It snowed 8-10 inches 2 nights before the trip so everything was white.

Today we went for a ride on the Sumpter Valley Railroad. It is a very slow train that goes up to Sumpter. It was fun with lots of beautiful scenery.

Like I said, they caught one tiny fish. They had better luck on Labor day when their cousins (Dekker and Tyler) took them.

I love this picture. This was our last fishing excerusion of the summer. There is a pond close by that is pretty kid fisherman friendly. We were too late in the afternoon and only caught one very tiny fish.

Another first for the Cline Boys. An actual pile of leaves you can play in. They had fun burying each other and trying to scare me.

Praticing football with a pile of leaves for cushion.
Creative minds---the game of "catch the falling leaf before it hits the ground".
A great day at the park. I have never seen sooooooo many leaves on the ground. It was beautiful until you had to rake them up. We took over 280 lbs of leaves to the dump and still had them all over.

Not the greatest picture---but, Porter is the one on the left bottom end. He joined the 4th-6th grade choir at his school. He gets to carol down mainstreet next week and go sing a the nursing homes. He has loved it. The thing around his neck is a recorder which they played for some of the songs.

No one missed meal time that weekend. Our table was full of kids---who had all these kids anyway?!

The golf course still had enough snow to sled on. This is Rebecca, Austin and Hannah. They had a blast.

Watching the kids play. Doesn't Kristy look COLD!!!. It got up to 29 degrees when they were here and got down to 7 degrees. Our kids had a few weeks of cold weather to adjust. Needless to say, we went through lots of hot chocolate.

The Nielsens came to visit for Thanksgiving. The kids gave each other rides on the sled the first morning. Sammy loved it. Conner got to ride with him.
Here is our house covered in snow. The roads were not fun to drive on. Needless to say, I started driving the truck in 4 wheel drive instead of the honda.
The first major snow of the year. It was like Christmas morning. This is the large grass area across the street from our house. The boys had to go play in the snow before school. This was just before Thanksgiving. The week after Thanksgiving, we got 7" more. Now it is gone---it warmed up and rained.
