Well, today we got to say goodbye to Tyler Smith--nephew on Lance's side. He is leaving for his mission--reports to the MTC Oct. 1st. He is going to Texas--we were hoping it would be close to our family there but not so lucky--he is going to Houston East Spanish speaking mission.
PS--no, we are not standing on a slight slope--yes, Austin and Mason have passed me up--I now get to look up to them.

In one of the comments, Janette said I need to post a picture of me. This is as close as it gets. I am video taping Austin's soccer game. Conner decided to try his expertise at photography.
Mason looking so enthused to be at Austin's soccer game. Mason is playing football for the middle school but games don't start til next week so look for pictures to come. He has had a rude awakening at practices--much tougher than anything he has done before.
Porter is playing football again this year. He is #22--running in for the touch down on the first picture and running a reverse in the 2nd picture. He is doing really well. Mister aggressive---he has really gained confidence and skill since last year. He has already scored 2 touchdowns and they have only played 2 games. He loves it. He can't wait til next year as he will be the oldest on the team and still be able to run the football (the league has a weight limit of 110 for anyone running the ball. If you are over 110, all you can do is be a blocker. Not many 6th graders can run the ball---Not thinking Porter is going to gain 30+ pounds over the next year).
I will try and figure out the video clip stuff and try to get a few plays on the computer. May have to call Janette or Kristy for a tutorial.

Austin is playing soccer for the high school team. He is the starting "keeper" (goalie) for the varisty team--we do only have a varsity team and it is a fairly new program. The team is struggling a bit but they are improving. Austin is enjoying it.

Conner and Porter participated in Cub Scout Day camp a few weeks ago. The theme was Scouts down under so they got lots of cool Australia stuff. This was family night and the scouts provided the entertainment. Porter's group sang a song. Conner's group did a skit of the tortiose and the hair---Conner is the hair, laying down with the white scarf on. They had a good time.

Part of the Miner's Jubilee was several activities at the park. They had a blowup obstacle course. They had several games for the kids to play---our not so favorite was the ping pong ball toss into the fish bowl and guess what you won-a gold fish---lucky us we accumulated 6 gold fish. The boys have been forwarned that we will be setting them "free" in the local river. They did have a good time.
