Mason's art project from school. I thought it was so great, I wanted to share.
Our lovely Christmas tree. We almost didn't get a tree this year---waited too long. Apparenthly Oregon is not like California---Antioch always had trees to spare. Not up here. On Dec. 14th, we got one of the 5 remaining trees in town. The boys were hoping for a big tree since we finally had space and a high ceiling. Not so lucky. This was the tallest of the 5 trees left. We will definetly go out earlier next year.

Conner and Porter got new sleds from Santa so of course we had to go try them out. The local golf course has some great hills for sledding. Boy do you pick up some great speed---just watch out for the ditch at the bottom---we discovered that it was not completely frozen over. (Shauna and Conner trying out the sled)

Sorry about the exposure---camera doesn't do to well indoors. Austin's school choir sang at The Festival of Trees which is a fundraiser for the Hospital. Companies around town decorate a tree and it goes up for auction. The hospital got $4000 (didn't think anyone around here had that kind of money:)) for their tree (also included are a variety of gifts that are under the tree). Each tree has a theme they decorate the trees with. It was neat to see all the cool trees. Austin was part of the entertainment. He is in the middle row, middle with the santa hat right behind the girl with the white button up shirt on.
Some of the scenery from the train ride. It was beautiful.

The boys wanted to ride on the outside car---the 2 inside cars had wood burning stoves---but no we had to go on the outside one. It actually wasn't too cold once we got a blanket to put under us. It snowed 8-10 inches 2 nights before the trip so everything was white.

Today we went for a ride on the Sumpter Valley Railroad. It is a very slow train that goes up to Sumpter. It was fun with lots of beautiful scenery.
